Fereydoun Ave is one of the major players in the Iranian art scene in Tehran. Besides being an avid collector and artist he owns one of the most important underground art galleries that has been responsible for launching the careers of many artists.

Ave has participated in many group exhibitions including “Routes” Waterhouse & Dodd in London, England (2008); Creek Art Fair, Dubai, UAE; Art Dubai, UAE; Salon d'Automne de Paris (1980-2007); Art Paris, Abu Dhabi, UAE; and the Iran Heritage Show, London, England, “Iranian Contemporary Art“ at Barbican Art Gallery, London.

Ave has had solo shows at Silk Road Gallery, Tehran; 13 Vanak Street, Tehran; Herve Van Der Straten Gallery, Paris; and Seyhoun Gallery, Tehran.

His work is in many collections such as La Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations in Paris, France; the Rose Issa Collection in London, England; Centre Georges Pompidou Collection in Paris, France; the Cy Twombly Foundation Collection in US; and the Contemporary Art Museum in Tehran, Iran.
