ENTRY CRITERIA

MOP CAP is designed to recognize the talent of emerging Iranian artists at the forefront of their contemporary artistic practice. To ensure the highest possible quality of submissions, entry is solely by nomination. The global nominations panel consists of leading experts from within the Iranian and international art community, whose knowledge and expertise will help create a list of artists that represent the diversity and vitality of the contemporary Iranian art scene.

Based on their individual specialist knowledge, the nominators will put forward names of 2 artists, who in their considered opinion meet the criteria of the prize. The categories for submission are Painting, Photography, Sculpture and New Media. The MOP CAP advisory board will then work directly with the nominated artists to confirm their willingness to be entered into the prize. Each artist will be encouraged to submit up to 5 images that showcase their portfolio of work to date, so that the judges get an overview of their ability and working practice. In selected cases the judges may decide to call in the work.
