MAGIC OF PERSIA
Magic of Persia (MOP) is a non-profit, non-political charity registered in the UK, dedicated to the advancement of Persian culture worldwide. MOP achieves its mission through the development and promotion of art, education and communication programmes, in partnership with world-class institutions such as The British Museum and the Royal College of Art. The programmes are designed to foster cultural enrichment, which will improve global understanding and harmony across religious and cultural divides.
MOP has an outstanding track record of success in the visual arts, raising over $1 million for charity at its Magical Nights in Dubai auction of works by Iranian Masters in November 2007. MOP CAP aims to build from this success to provide exposure and to elevate emerging Iranian artists onto the international stage. As well as supporting the development of a new generation of Iranian artists, MOP CAP will play an important role in generating sufficient revenue to fund a programme of art scholarships and residencies for young Iranian students at leading art institutions in the UK, including the London Film School and The Delfina Foundation.
